Completed by Seattle Design Builders in 2012 this down town Seattle condominium originally built as warehouse space in the 1890's, converted to a residential a condominium in the 1980's and now fully modernized. Paint and drywall removed to expose old growth timbers, new floors and plumbing through out, stair system removed and replaced with a custom built mixed wood and steel system.
Completed in 1997, this home was designed and built for a retired executive and his wife. The criteria was straight forward - create a living space visually open to all of the main rooms on the first floor. From the home office on the main floor, the living and dining rooms as well as the kitchen are visible. A large open artist's studio was incorporated at the top of the stairs on the second floor.
